The focus of the home-based therapy is still on getting the injured worker back to function and work. Just as they do at the worksite, our highly trained, licensed physical and occupational therapists bring all the necessary equipment and treatment aids with them.
The rehab is one-on-one and intensive. This creates a relationship of trust between the therapist and injured worker and a shared goal focused on recovery and return to work.
During the course of treatment, psychosocial issues may be revealed which gives you a better chance of early intervention in claims at risk of deteriorating.
At the end of home-based therapy performed by PhysNet, the injured worker is ambulatory (at which point we attempt to transition him to continue therapy at the workplace) or is discharged with function restored in some return-to-work capacity.
