Provide physical therapy services as prescribed by an authorized care professional and in accordance with APTA, to help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities to patients suffering from work-related injuries. The OnSite Physio approach emphasizes individualized treatment, delivered at each worker’s job location. However, if required, sessions may take place at a worker’s home, or at an outpatient clinic.
- Examine patients’ medical histories and perform physical therapy evaluation by applying a variety of diagnostic and other tests
- Develop treatment plans describing a treatment strategy, purpose, and anticipated outcome
- Provide physical therapy treatment in accordance with the established treatment plan
- Demonstrate the knowledge and the ability to apply therapeutic principles and practices
- Document all evaluations, treatments, progress reports, discharge summaries, and communication regarding patient care in accordance with OnSite Physio policies
- Communicate with physicians, employers, case managers, and adjustors
- Educate patients and integrate appropriate functional/return-to-work tasks into treatment
- Follow safe driving practices in accordance with all applicable traffic laws
- Actively pursue professional growth through attendance at workshops and conferences
