Job Demands Analysis

Injury prevention starts with hiring individuals who are physically able to accomplish the tasks the job requires. That requires employers to create job descriptions that accurately describe tasks and essential functions, in a way that meets both the letter and the spirit of ADA and EEOC regulations.

To help you do that, we will create a job demands analysis. Also called a job safety analysis, this invaluable tool is a thorough ergonomic evaluation that looks at job-specific physical and positional requirements such as:

• Body mechanics
• Repetitive motion
• Standing or sitting positions and durations
• Forces exerted when lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling

It usually takes us a day or two to complete a job demands analysis.

You can use the results to:

• Create accurate, ADA- and EEOC-compliant job descriptions
• Identify essential functions to develop post-offer employment tests (POET)
• Have a baseline on record to develop an accurate treatment plan in the event of a future injury
